Dear Colleague:
Are you interested in meeting other science and safety professionals from industry, academia, and government? Would you like to attend informal meetings where you can exchange safety concerns, technical issues, and methods with others having this knowledge and experience? If so, welcome to the Biological Safety Affairs Forum! Many BSAF members are also members of the American Biological Safety Association and other very active national and regional professional organizations.
BSAF Membership Represents:
· Biotechnology & Biodiagnostic Technologists;
· Environmental, Health & Safety Officers;
· University & Industry Research Scientists;
· EH&S Consultants, Testing, & Services Groups;
· Physicians, Clinicians, & Medical Technologists;
· Laboratory, Dental, & Veterinary Technologists.
BSAF Members are dedicated to sharing biosafety and technical information to ensure the safest workplace, the highest level of regulatory compliance, and scientific excellence in all our university and industrial settings.
BSAF Achieves These Goals through the presentations by our well-known speakers, panel and informal discussions at our meetings, and through our BSAF newsletter. Our speakers regularly include agency regulators, our members and colleagues, and legislators. They draft, refine, and enact the regulations while many also develop and administer the safety and compliance programs at our business, research, government, and educational facilities.
Twice Each Year BSAF meets with our sister forum, BIONET. The late summer meeting is in the San Francisco Bay Area, hosted by BSAF. The winter meeting is in Southern California, hosted by BIONET. These all day symposia have been enthusiastically attended over the last eight years and continue to grow each year.
Our Regular Meetings are held throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area at locations that alternate between the cities of our members whom so graciously host them at their facilities. This way too, we continue to communicate the strengths and interests within our membership and get to share our diverse settings, needs, and views.
BSAF Sincerely Invites You to attend our meetings and to Join BSAF. We want to hear from you. Help us all inform and support our mutual interests in continued professional growth and learning. We Need Your Knowledge & Ideas!
